Pottery. Four Greyware sherds, two rims [of height 42.5mm and 32.3mm] and two body sherds, probably from four distinct vessels. The rim sherds are both freshly broken, indicating the recent disturbance of even larger fragments of pottery from hitherto undisturbed deposits. A sherd of a ceramic Vessel of Roman date (AD 43-200). The sherd is probable of Gaulish Samian ware. This example is probably from vessel of Dragendorff 18-31, a bowl or dish. The rim sherd has a small projecting rolled lip. The body has repeating concentric circular grooves around the outer surface. The fabric is a buff orange in colour with a glossy orange-red slip on the inner and outer surfaces.
