A Roman pottery fragment of a Samian ware bowl. It is the incomplete base of a shallow bowl. All that remains is small part of the pedestal foot and the body, with a slight curve forming the base of the bowl. The fabric is a light orange-pink colour with the slip being a dark orange-red. Evidence of it being wheel turned is on the base of the vessel. There is a feathered patterned band 21mm in from the base rim.
