A complete copper-alloy enamelled button and loop fastener of Roman date, c.AD 43-200. Wild Class VIa variant.
The head is formed of a flat rectangular plate. Decoration on this plate consists of red and yellow enamel, set within three parallel square cells with yellow enamel set in the middle cell and red enamel present in the two flanking cells. An integral circular sectioned shank extends at 90 degrees from the underside of the head before splitting in to two arms, and forming a loop. An incomplete copper-alloy button and loop fastener of Roman date, c.AD 50 - 200. Wild Class IV.
The head of the fastener is circular and domed, with a hollow reverse filled with ferrous material. The shank extends straight down from the reverse of the head, and bends at 90 degrees. It terminates with a worn break before forming the attachment loop. The orientation of the shank results in the head and loop being on different planes. The reverse is flat and undecorated.

An incomplete copper-alloy button and loop fastener of Roman date, c.AD 43-200. Wild Class III.
The head is a pointed sub-oval in shape. It is D-shaped in section and slightly hollowed on the reverse. Unlike many Roman button and loop fasteners of Wild's Class III, this brooch lacks a central raised circular boss within a deep circumferential recess. An oval-sectioned shank projects from the back of the head at 90 degrees and then runs on the same plane as the head. This loop shank is incomplete with worn breaks left on the loop sections remaining.

The head of the object is trefoil in shape, consisting of three prominent integral rounded domed bosses. A circular perforation is present at the centre where the three bosses meet.
A sub-rectangular sectioned shank projects from the centre of the reverse at a 90-degree angle, before bending again at a 90-degree angle. The shank terminates in a worn break.

The loop is an openwork triangle which extends from the pointed end to form a circular sectioned shank which bends at 90 degrees to the loop. The remains of the head are worn.
The metal has a mid-green patina and is worn. The object is 19.7mm long, 11.7mm wide, 3.8mm thick and weighs 2.5g.
