An incomplete Late Roman copper alloy strapend, dating to c. AD 350-400. Probably part of an amphora-shaped strapend of continental manufacture. The find has a sub-triangular flared open end with central rivetted terminal. Around the rivet hole is a ring and dot motif, consisting of two incised circles, the fields of which are both decorated with asymmetrical transverse lines, those in the larger field are in a sub-spiral shape. There are flanking peltate or 'kidney-shaped' handles, but only part of one of these on the left hand side remains due to an old break. …

A fragment of a Roman copper alloy penannular neck ring, bracelet or armlet, dating to cAD250 - 410. It is a curved rod, circular in section, expanding a little to a circular buffer terminal.  The other end appears to show an early break, so original length is undetermined. There is a groove immediately beneath the flat terminal, giving a cap-like appearance. Dimensions: 108.1mm in length; hoop varies from 3.6mm to 6.6mm in diameter; 15.70g in weight See GLO-827089 on the PAS database for a similar find.

An incomplete probable Roman copper alloy penannular bracelet, dating to c AD 43 - 410. It is D shaped in section except for a short length before a rounded terminal where it has been flattened. The other end appears to show an early break, so original length is undetermined, but modern surface treatment obscures the probable break. The bracelt is undecorated. Dimensions: 46.1mm in diameter; hoop is 4.6mm in height, 1.7mm thick; 6.37g in weight. See SUSS-746FD2 for another example of a Roman bracelet, although this may be a votive find.

Two sherds of greyware dating to the Roman period c AD 43-410.  One sherd is a rim and one is a bodysherd.  The bodysherd may be of a Savernake ware type.   It is thin and of a pinkish buff colour with numerous inclusions of red iron oxide and medium sized sandy or black quartz inclusions.  There are numerous voids.  This sherd hard fired and is rough textured. A base sherd from a vessel dating to the Roman period c AD 43-410.  The sherd is a coarse greyware.  It is hard fired and has an unoxidised core.  The fabric of the outer surfaces is a pale orangey pink with sparse medium sized sandy inclusions, crushed flint inclusions and iron oxide inclusions.  There are also a few voids in the fabric.  It is handmade.
