An incomplete Roman cast copper alloy headstud brooch dating to c.AD 75-200. The wings are semi-circular in cross-section and rectilinear in form. The wing cap on one side is decorated with incised linear lines, the parallel decoration on the other end is worn and not visible. The reverse of the wings has a central notch for the missing pin. The bow springs out the wings; it is D-shaped in cross-section and has an accentuated curved bow that is flat on the side, narrowing to a flattened foot. An incomplete copper-alloy Roman Colchester Derivative Hinged brooch dating to c. AD 43-120. The spring, the majority of the wings and the whole pin are all missing due to old breaks. Only a short portion of the wings on the back of the bow has survived, which is tubular. The bow is D-shaped in cross-section and tapers to a rounded foot. An incomplete cast copper-alloy Roman brooch dating to c.AD Possibly a Trumpet brooch with fantail foot dating to c.AD 75-175. Only the foot lobe and part of the bow have survived. An incomplete cast copper-alloy Roman (British) plate brooch dating to the late 1st-mid-3rd century century AD (c. AD 80-250).  It has an oval flat disc decorated on one side. The decoration consists of a thick band of corroded dark blue enamel with five surviving sub-oval empty recesses, surrounding a circular recess and a sub-oval centre. An incomplete cast copper-alloy Roman (British) plate brooch dating to the late 1st-mid-3rd century century AD (c. AD 80-250).  The brooch is almost complete, with part of the pin missing. It is a circular flat disc decorated on one side with a multi-angled polygon, however, the corrosion and dirt conceals the decoration. Traces of red enamel are visible. The design is surrounded by a border. The reverse has the sprung spring mechanism. Width: 21.51 mm; Length: 23.6 mm; Thickness: 1.73 mm; Weight: 4.61g
