An incomplete cast copper-alloy finger ring dating to the Roman period (AD 43-410). The bezel and shoulders survive. Most of the hoop is missing. The bezel is flat and circular with four recessed cells defining sub-triangular quarters divided by a raised cross. The cells are void of enamel. The shoulders extend from each end of the bezel. These are oval in cross-section and taper to worn breaks. The underside of the bezel and shoulders is flat and plain in appearance. The patina across the finger ring is mid green in colour.
