A complete Roman silver plated radiate of Valerian II (AD 256-258), dating to AD 256-258, Reece Period 12.
Description: This radiate has a copper alloy core and has been plated silver. It is the IOVI CRESCENTI reverse type.
Obverse: Radiate, draped, and cuirassed bust right, the inscription reads VALERIANVS CAES.
Reverse: Jupiter seated right on goat standing right, right hand raised, the inscription reads IOVI CRESCENTI.
Measurements: Diameter: 20.99 mm; Thickness: 1.26 mm and Weight: 2.38 g.
