An incomplete copper alloy nummus coin of Constantine I dating to AD 319 (Reece Period 16). VICTORIAE LAETAE PRINC PERP reverse type. Mint of Trier, as RIC VII Treveri 214/21. The coin has been misstruck on the reverse and much of the edge is missing. The coin retains a slight trace of silvering.
Obverse: Bust of Constantine I, laureate, helmeted, cuirassed, left, possibly holding spear over shoulder. Legend: [IMP CONSTANTINVS MAX AVG]
Reverse: Two Victories, winged, draped, standing facing each other, holding a shield inscribed VOT/PR supported by an altar. Legend: [VICTORIAE LAET]A…
