Roman unidentified copper alloy object: The object is sub-rectangular in plan, which is curved in profile. One narrow terminal is broken obliquely and not recently. The opposite terminal has a fragment of a transverse, integral cylinder at each corner. One fragment has a trace of an axis bar/pin with a bulbous head. Between the two cylindrical elements there is a wide rectangular slot. The outer, convex surface is decorated, it has a rectangular high-relief border. ~~Copper alloy headstud brooch. On the reverse are two loops placed side by side to hold the spring support bar, the spring is made from six curls and is separate to the pin which has a solid loop and truncated shaft below. The bow emanates from the front of the rectangular head plate which has linear mouldings on the side and small crest on the top. The remainder of the bow appears to be undecorated by this could be masked by the heavy corrosion that has affected the whole item. Date 75-175AD

~~Copper alloy Roman Colchester derivative, hinged (dolphin) brooch. The wings are hollow to hold the pin support bar which is made of iron but now heavily corroded resulting in the loss of the pin. The wings are decorated with three transverse raised bands; further decoration on the front of the bow consists of expanded shoulders that flank the head and traces of a double band with recessed borders that run down the front of the bow. The lower part of the bow is truncated resulting in the loss of the catch plate. Date 55-100AD.

~~Roman copper alloy trumpet brooch that has an oval head plate. On the reverse is a single pierced lug that would have held the spring support bar but the loop is now truncated resulting in the loss of the spring. The bow emanates from the front of the head plate and has a moulded knee at the apex; the bow is broken just below the head but both half's remain, the item is also heavily corroded resulting in the loss of the catch plate. Date 75-175AD

~~Copper alloy brooch of Colchester derivative, Polden Hill type. It has rearward facing lugs on either end of the wings, these are now truncated but would have held the pin axis bar. The front of the bow has a double ridge running down the centre that is flanked by a line of pellets on either side, shallow expanded shoulders flank the side of the head. The catch plate on the reverse is truncated, there is a conical knop foot at the base with pellet terminal
