A complete copper-alloy container, possibly a purse, which contains a late Roman copper-alloy radiate or nummus. The case is cylindrical and tapers towards both ends. The case is formed by two parts which are hinged together in the centre at the back, and joined at the front by a curved rectangular tab. The hinge at the back is formed by a simple inwardly rolled tube, in three parts, joined by an iron pin.
