Record ID: WMID370
Object type: PROJECTILE
Broad period: ROMAN
County: Staffordshire
Workflow stage: Published Find published
Elongated cylindrical object. One end appears to be shafted, and is square in section, tapering to a point (which is bent). The opposite end of the object tapers to a point. The surface is pitted. Phillip Watson (Birmingham Museum and Art Gallery) does not feel this is a prehistoric item. It has been suggested as being a possible Roman projectile, however a comparison has not been found.
