A complete iron Hook of uncertain date. Rectangular-sectioned iron bar, one end tapering to a point, the other flaring and flattening, bent into a deformed U-shaped hook. It may have functioned as wall hooks of some kind, and are similar to a larger object from Brancaster (Hinchliffe, 1985, fig. 36, 99), although their true function is unknown.

An incomplete cast, copper-alloy object (possibly a fishing hook) of probable Roman date, AD 43-410. The item consists of a curved sub-circular loop which has flattened sides and two arms - one of which is concave and flat an end with a slit opening, while the other arm expands into a rectangular wedge. The object is incomplete, both arms are worn and broken. This object shares a similar form as a cast, copper-alloy staple with a pendant loop PAS no. SUR-6766D7. Iron hook. A wrought iron hook comprising a crescentic blade exposed at its pointed tip by spalling of massive corrosion but which probably remains of consistent thickness below it, and an expansion at the other end which may mask a socket. These tools are common finds from agricultural contexts, and are thought to come from tools whose use related to that of a short-handled billhook used for reaping, pruning or hedge-laying (Manning 1985, fig. 14 no. 2, plates 22-23, nos 24-39). Wrought iron double-ended hook object. Circular-sectioned rods forming an open heart-shaped frame, with a hook (internal width 16.5mm) curving in the same plane as the frame at the top, and broken across what appears to be another hook projecting from the pointed end at 90 degrees to the rest of the object. Corroded. Length 97.0mm, width 53.8mm, thickness c.7.5mm, weight 52.6g.

An incomplete copper-alloy hook like object which could be Roman or later in date. It consists of a an incomplete piece of copper-alloy wire with a circular section bent into a U-shape, the complete terminal is bent over to form a small hook and tapers to a rounded point at its tip, the other terminal is missing due to an old break. The function of this object is unknown. It measures 27.34mm by 26.50mm in size and the wire is 2.58mm in thickness.
