An incomplete pair of copper-alloy epilation forceps dating to the Roman period. The forceps possess a decorative head which is hexagonal in plan with a small, rectangular-lug extension. The head is separated from the arms by a beaded moulding flanked by reel mouldings. The arms are rectangular in section and plan and extend in parallel before widening to form wedge-shaped blades. The blades are heavily corroded. The forceps have a length of 74mm, a width of 7mm, a thickness of 2mm and a weight of 4 grams.

A cast copper alloy pointed-jawed forceps of probable Roman date. The forceps measures 82.6mm by 15.1mm by 3.8mm and weigh 14.88g. They have a wide triangular hinge, which narrows into arms which terminate in rounded points. The arms are thicker than the flat triangular hinged part. In the centre of each arm there is decoration in the form of a geometric panel, comprising three groups of 2-3 moulded parallel lines which border and separate two inscribed Xs.
