An oxidised sherd from a Roman colander. It could be from the base of a bowl used for straining cheese 2nd - 4th century, as figure 1419 page 159, "A Corpus of Roman Pottery from Lincoln" , Darling and Precious. Pinky/brown colour. Length: 39.62mm. Width: 37.24mm, Depth 27.85mm and Weight 25.21g.

Fragment of a Roman colander c. AD 50-400. The sherd is in a fine, sandy, grey ware fabric and comes from the base of the vessel, through it are 2.5mm diameter holes. 34.4 x 23.4 x 6.0mm thick. Mass 4.80g.
