A complete Roman probable lead steelyard weight, c.AD 43-410. The weight is ovoid or egg-shaped and has a circular perforation through it from top to bottom. Within this in an iron  object that projects from the narrower tip of the weight before ending in a badly corroded break. It is roughly circular in cross section. The iron core continues through the length of the whole terminating in a break that is flush to the bottom of the object. The weight has an off-white patina. A lead alloy spindle whorl or weight. It is flat on both faces, with rounded edges, D shaped in section. There is no apparent decoration. The central perforation is approximately 10mm in diameter. A number of similar examples have been recorded by the Berkshire FLO, one of which is BERK-4D6A2C. These are difficult to date without other evidence, and are considered by some to be Roman when in this form, this artefact is from an area of known Roman activity Dimensions: It is 28mm in diameter and 7mm thick, the central hole is 10mm diameter and it weighs 29.28g

A probable scoop for cosmetic or toilet use. The material is uncertain but is probably lead alloy. It is formed of a short remnant of the shaft, which is triangular in section, the back being flat and the front having a ridge down the centre. It terminates in a wider, flattened circular section which is half the thickness of the shaft, and would scoop a small amount of power or similar. Like SWYOR-BFF380, there is not enough diagnostic material remaining to date but it may be Roman in period. Dimensions: It is 30mm long and the scoop is 8.5mm wide, it weighs 4.19g

A complete cast lead -alloy spindle whorl or weight, of unknown date. This is plano-convex in shape, with a moulded circular aperture slightly off-centre measuring c. 7.20mm in diameter.  The surface of the spindle whorl is covered entirely in a matte dark grey patina, with white specks especially on the flat bottom.
