The sides are almost vertical. The top is circular, with an integral flattened suspension loop, extending from the middle. Roman to Medieval (1st to 15th centuries) spindlw whorl. A cast lead or lead alloy spindle whorl which is circular in plan and in profile is  bi-convex. There is a central circular perforation which is 11.04mm in diameter. The surface of the spindle whorl is decorated with chevrons radiating from the centre on both sides. The whorl has a raised outer edge radiating around its cirumference. The surface is oxidised and is a light grey colour. It measures 28.33mm in diameter, 8.24mm thick, and weighs 20.15g.

In plan the repair is broadly oval in shape and irregular in cross section; originally it would have been H shaped but it has been snapped across the mid-point and only a small projecting nub survives. An incomplete cast lead-alloy possible 'chess piece' style furniture fitting or mount dating to the Roman period, c. 43-410 AD. In form it takes the form of a chess pawn, with a prominently knopped head and moulded expanded mid-point (demonstrating a thickened transverse groove at its midpoint) alternating with waisted sections, all sat on a flat but broken discoidal base. A complete lead-alloy steelyard weight of Roman date (c. AD 43 - 410). The weight is bi-conical in plan and sub-oval in section; it expands out towards its middle before narrowing again towards its lower terminus. There is a copper-alloy suspension loop cast into the weight at one of the apexes and the two ends of the bent loop are visible at the opposite apex. The weight has no visible decoration but is heavily abraded and misshapen from the ploughsoil. An irregular cast lead alloy vessel repair (pot mend) of probable Roman date (AD 50-350). In plan the repair is irregular being broadly ovals whilst in cross section it is H shaped. Held within the H shaped section is a small fragmentary sherd of Roman greyware. The sherd is very soft and the inclusions are well sorted - it is also very thin suggesting it was originally a fine piece of pottery. The vessel repair measures 29.4mm length, 21.0mm width is 8.8mm thick and weighs 24.5 grams. The H section has a groove of variable width - most regularly 2.4mm wide.

A lead alloy spindle whorl of Roman to medieval date. The object is circular in plan with curved sides and flattened faces.The object has a large central circular perforation which measures 9mm in diameter. Each face is worn with a light white patina and is undecorated. Similar examples of spindle whorls have reportedly been found in contexts dated from the Roman through to the Post-Medieval period although the majority are typically dated broadly to the Medieval period c.1100-1500. Dimensions: 24mm in diameter, 3mm thick, 10.9g.

An incomplete cast lead alloy form or model for the manufacture of a two part Colchester derivative Polden Hill style / type bow brooch of early Roman date (75-175 AD). A near complete slightly abraded copper alloy Roman Trumpet brooch dating from 75 - 175AD. The bow has an angular profile and an angular D shaped cross section. The bow tapers from a flared head to a broken abraded edge on the lower bow - the foot knop is lost. The head of the brooch is oval and tapers into an angular bow. The reverse of the head is flat with a vertical cast bar which divides the head into two parts.
