Unidentified cast copper alloy object, depicting a three dimensional claw or talon shape, the wide end has two filed flat panes set at just under 90 degrees to each other, no obvious means of attachment, though it is possible solder may have been used; the larger of the two flat areas has a small rough patch to one side, this could be the remains lead-based adhesive, though it lacks the obviously white appearance this usually has. Incomplete lunular or crescentic Roman copper-alloy harness pendant. Approximately seventy-five per cent is extant, including the integral suspension loop, which is set perpendicular to the crescentic body. One end of the body is original, the other end terminates in a work break a few millimetres to one side of the loop. The crescent seems to follow an oval arc, being probably originally larger in its horizontal than its vertical dimension. It is plano-convex in cross-section (flat on the reverse) and of constant thickness,  tapering in width to a rounded tip at the complete end.…

Fragment of a Roman copper-alloy trumpet brooch of Mackreth’s (2011) type TR 3.2 and similar, as far as it survives, to ibid Pl. 89 Nos. 14690 and 5464. The trumpet head and the upper part of the flat pelta-shaped plate are extant. The rest of the plate and the lower bow is missing and only the stump of an integral loop survives on the top. On the reverse of the head there are a pair of very minimally protruding stumps, one on each side: remnants of the spring axis-bar retention lugs, each with an incomplete perforation.
