The outer side is decorated with a central longitudinally incised line which is flanked by closely spaced and slightly angled nicks. Complete cast copper-alloy roman tweezers. The loop is pointed oval in section. The arms gradually flare out towards the terminals, the tips of which are slightly bevelled. The arms are now slightly bent at a midway point. Just below the bend is a copper-alloy sheet slide, which has a width of 3.0mm. Between the slide and the terminal both faces of the arms have decoration in two panels. The first panel has three horizontal deep grooves and the second has an incised saltaire cross.
