A probably copper-alloy Roman dupondius of Vespasian (AD 69-79), possibly dating to the period c.AD 71 (Reece period 4). FORTVNAE REDVCI, S C, reverse type depicting Fortuna standing left holding rudder and cornucopiae. Probably mijt of Lyon. cf. RIC II (2nd ed.), p. 142, no. 1138ff. This description is reconstructed from numismatic data entered into the original database record and would require an image of the coin to verify fully.
