An incomplete cast copper-alloy zoomorphic plate brooch in the form of a sitting bird. The body of the bird is hollow and has a hinged mechanism. An incomplete copper-alloy pin is hinged between two lugs by a copper-alloy axis bar. The bird has a arched neck and a heart-shaped tail. The head is undecorated. The body of the brooch has a thin line of ropework decoration with a groove either side that runs horizontally from the neck to tail. Around the edge of the body is a grooved rim. A cast copper alloy dumbell-shaped toggle. The dumbell is cylindrical in plan and has a rib decorated with incised vertical dots between the two large knobs. An integral D-shaped loop is centred above and between the two knobs which has an internal diameter of 4.1mm. The overall length of the toggle is 21.27mm, the width is 14.44mm and the weight is 11.07mm. A similar parallel can be found at Dragonby which has been dated between late 1st century to possibly 3rd century (May, 1996, Volume 1, P.273, No.34).

A cast copper-alloy loop from a late Roman to early Medieval belt buckle of Hawkes and Dunnings Type IIA (1961, 54). A pair of confronted dolphins forms the zoomorphic loop. The dolphins have stylised crests, open jaws, circular eyes and collared necks. On each side of the loop has a line of punched dot. The terminals of the dolphins are plain. At the bottom of the dolphins are pierced circular attachments that have a diameter of 5.9mm and traces of iron corrosion. The tongue is missing, The length is 36.7mm, the width is 34.5mm and the thickness is 3.2mm.

Silver probable vessel mount. Cast plate with, described from the top, a sharply angled hook, now broken and perhaps originally engaging the rim of a vessel; a collar with seven vertically incised notches; an elongated concavo-convex plate with a vegetal scroll enclosing a field of tiny overlapping circular punch marks on the display face, hollowed behind, above a tapered flat-backed leg with a collared moulded and knopped foot or terminal. Copper alloy, with a strong presence of tin inferred from its greyish tint, mount. Cast oval plate with a central oval boss with longitudinal slit; this is aptly described by the finder as vulva shaped, though the form of the object might equally reflect that of a shield. A pair of disc headed or fungiform roves on the back have flattened ends, suggesting they passed through a strap of thickness circa 2.6mm. The back of the object is hollowed behind the boss. Mortar bust. Model of a head. This object is hand moulded in a coarse sandy lime mortar with abundant inclusions of dark shattered flint of length up to 5mm, and with sparse flecks of golden reflective material on its smoothed surface - from examination under a hand lens probably not mica flakes; they may originate in local sands, or might even be tiny particles of naturally occurring gold from glacial drift.
