Brooch. Umbonate Disc Brooch, as identified by finder. Cast concavo-convex plate with hinged pin and the stub of catch-plate extending beyond the back. A decorative scheme comprises an outer circumferential order of 14 triangles of which seven retain blue enamel, and an inner order of (probably) 14 smaller triangles, of which seven retain traces of red and blue enamel, alternating. A central dimple may also have contained colorant, but if so, no trace remains. Suggested date: Early Roman, 100-200.

Brooch. Trumpet Brooch, as identified by finder. Cast head with three coils of a spring, bow narrowing to a collar and acanthus-derived ornament, below which the bow assumes an angular profile and narrows; the stub of a catch-plate remains on the reverse. An open silver wire link of diameter 1.3mm is looped around the upper part of the bow. Heavily abraded and corroded. Suggested date: Early Roman, 100-150.

Finger Ring fragment. Cast sub-circular bezel and part of the narrowed band of a finger ring of Henig Type 1. The bezel bears enamel-filled cells defining four sky blue petals against a ground of red enamel, the former enjoying brighter and better preservation than the latter. Copper-alloy finger-ring, possibly coated with white metal (silver or tin), set with dark blue glass. Thin sheet bezel with an open hoop with two tapered ends to allow for adjustment. An oval setting standing proud of the centre of the bezel retains a dark blue glass stone whose surface itself stands slightly proud of the setting. Incised lines define a square field around the oval setting; this area retains a slightly silvery tint, possibly showing the extent of a coating. Suggested date: Later Roman, 200-300 AD.

Brooch fragment. Half-Disc-and-Trumpet type, with a round central boss flanked by two smaller bosses on a field of red enamel decorating the half disc. A tapering bow bears the stub of a catch-plate on its back, and retains spots of silver plating. Heavily abraded. The trumpet head is lost. This type of brooch is not a common find, but the examples known are widely distributed. Suggested date: Early Roman, 50-200.

Belt Mount. Cast Disc-Attachment fragment. A circular plate surmounted by the stub of a tapered suspension loop or clip. The plate bears a central inscribed ring and dot retaining a central spot of red enamel which shows through on the back, indicating the drilling of the dot penetrated the object; crudely incised angular lines border or decorate the stub of the clip. Suggested date: Late Roman, 350-400.
