Copper alloy radiate, a base contemporary copy of a silver radiate of Gordian III (AD 238-44), dating to c. AD 241-4 or later (Reece Period 12). The obverse is copied from an Issue I-III coin; the reverse from an Issue IV coin (see RIC IV, pt 3, p. 25, no. 86).
