Copper alloy with gilding, brooch. Cast brooch resembling members of the Headstud class, albeit lacking the stud; Laura Burnett kindly identifies this as a knee brooch. Semi-tubular wings closed at their ends retain an axis bar and a nine coil spring and a pin. An integrally cast sub-rectangular plate rises above the wings, surmounted by a moulded lug with a drilled aperture of diameter circa 2mm with the stub of a loop above it.
