Roman silver denarius of Septimius Severus (AD 193-211), dating to AD 193-5 (Reece Period 10), BONI EVENTVS, Bonus Eventus standing left holding basket of fruit and corn ears. Eastern Mint. cf. RIC IV, pt I, p. 135, no.347, or p.137, no.352, or p.140, no.369. RIC (written in 1936) gives a specific mint attribution to Emesa or Laodicea, but this is now not commonly acknowledged. This is a good example of a scarce coin.

Reverse: SAECVLI FELICITAS depicting Isis wearing peaked head-dress standing right, left foot on prow with the infant Horus at her breast; to left, altar against which leans a rudder. Mint of Rome. The coin has a diameter of 17.7mm and weighs 2.18gms. As RIC IV.1, p.170, no.577.

A base-silver denarius, possibly a contemporary copy, of Caracalla as Caesatr (AD 196-8) (Reece Period 10, possibly [PIETAS], Pietas standing left at altar, holding box of incense. Mint of Rome. RIC IV, pt 1, p. 213, no. 12. It is quite possible that this is a regular coin, but its appearance suggest that it is quite base silver, suggesting it might be a copy. The PIETAS type is scarce and it is possible it is a copy of a coin with a reverse from another coin.
