The remnant of a radiate bust right can be seen on the obverse, the reverse design may have included a standing figure with shield. The coin is significantly thick for the diameter. An incomplete fragment of a much abraded, possibly broken and melted copper alloy coin of possible Roman date. The coin is almost completely indecipherable - being oval in plan and section. On one face is all that remains of a face looking right, whilst the reverse is lost completely. The metal is most like a base metal coin from the period 50-250 AD.
The fragment measures 17.1mm length, 15.2mm width, is 6.5mm thick and 5.85 grams
