An incomplete copper-alloy Roman Colchester derivative rear hook bow brooch. It is missing the spring, pin, catchplate and part of the foot due to old breaks. The wings are semi-cylindrical in form decorated on their front faces with transverse moulded grooves. At the centre of the head is an integrally cast rear facing hook that would have originally held in place the now missing spring. A complete cast copper-alloy end-looped cosmetic pestle dating to the late Iron Age or early Roman period, c. 1-200 AD.  It consists of a flattened sub-circular sectioned rod with one end pointed and the other demonstrating an integrally cast end-loop. It is plain with no decorative elements. It measures 49.38mm in length, 4.53mm in width and 8.95g in weight.  Similar examples can be found on the PAS database (SF-A3D5C7, SF-B6A85B SF-FADE94).

An incomplete, bent and extremely corroded cast copper alloy Roman bow brooch of Colchester derivative two piece front-hooked type, dating to the first century AD. The arms are semi-cylindrical and there is a stump for a spring hook at the front of the head. The bow tapers and curves back from the head, with a sub rounded cross section and a ridged spine. The bow tapers to a triangular foot with a stump of a catchplate beneath.

It is formed from a long curved rod, circular in cross-section and becoming narrower towards each end, which terminates in a blunt point, one of which terminates in an old break.  Projecting from the centre of the upper edge is a flattened sub-circular loop, which is circular in cross-section. The object consists of a decorative knob comprising, from base to apex, a disc-shaped section encircled by a grooved line; a spool-shaped section; a rounded, inverted conical knob flaring into a disc at its upper end and a flattened knob at the apex. The lower face of the knob has the remains of an iron attachment component. A probable copper-alloy Roman hair pin or furniture nail - the shaft is corroded and incomplete and tapers to a point, with only a corroded head remaining. 4 fragments of a puddingstone quern of probable Roman date. Puddingstone is distinctive conglomerate containing rounded red flint pebbles within a siliceous matrix, the main sources of which lie in Hertfordshire.
