An incomplete Roman copper alloy Colchester derivative, rear-hook brooch, probably dating to c. AD 43-100. Only the sprung pin mechanism is missing.
The wings survives to a width of 19.1mm and are crescent shaped with a convex front and concave reverse leaving a C-shaped recess for the spring to sit within. An incomplete copper-alloy suspension loop, probably from a Roman nail-cleaner dating to the period AD 43-300.
The object consists of a cast integral circular loop with a narrow waisted-section below, followed by an expanded, flattened, rectangular section, which becomes narrower at its lower end. The surface and break are all corroded and well worn.
One surface is decorated on the narrow rectangular section but a series of lightly incised wavy lines within an outer sub-rectangular border. The reverse of the object is plain.

The coin is pierced by a hole below the bust at c. 4 o'clock as seen on the obverse. It is pierced from the obverse through to the reverse. The circumference is then worn to open the hole to the coin's edge.

An incomplete cast copper alloy Roman bow brooch of Colchester derivative two piece front-hooked type, dating to the first century AD. The arms are semi-cylindrical with moulded ridges at their ends. There is a spring hook at the front of the head. The bow tapers and curves back from the head, with a plano convex cross section and is decorated with pairs of moulded ridges flanking a ridged spine. The bow tapers to a triangular foot with a small catchplate beneath.
