An incomplete cast copper-alloy ring, probably an ear ring, dating to the Roman period (c. AD 43-410). The surviving part of the penannular hoop is circular in cross section and gradually expands from one end to the other. Both terminals appear to be broken. The surfaces of the hoop are pitted with corrosion but there are remains of a mid-green patina. The ring measures 24.22mm in diameter and 4.15mm at the hoop's thickest. It weighs 4.9 grams. There are several other such objects recorded on the Portable Antiquities Scheme database (e.g. BH-C4E24D, NLM-C5FB51 and WMID-BF9F7D), which …

Roman copper alloy mount fragment, 19 mm in length, 8 mm wide and 3 mm thick with a weight of 0.85g. The object is sub-rectangular in form and cross section and consists of a flat plate with a slightly triangular terminal which has Millifiori inlay consisting of five repeating flower like motifs in a square field of alternate red, white and blue. This sits in a narrow flat border then the object before turns at right angles to form incomplete sides. The object is incomplete at one short end and its sides appear damaged. The object may be part of a decorative mount or similar.
