Modern token; struck copper alloy gaming token dating from the latter 19th century. The token is a half sovereign piece produced by the Lauer in Nuremburg. It has the old head of Queen Victoria which was used on official coins from 1897-1901 so it seems likely that this token is of similar date. Obv.
