The coin has been cut in half from 1 o'clock to 7 o'clock on the obverse, and there is a second, incomplete cut running from around 10 o'clock towards 4 o'clock on the obverse. Due to the shape of the X and R being akin to North (1994) pg. 225 Fig. 14 and Fig. 17 respectively, this is likely Class V a-c (AD 1251-1272). Unknown moneyer.

A very worn, cut Medieval silver halfpenny, likely from the reign of Henry III (AD 1216-1272). Potentially Class7 short cross penny dating AD 1217-1242 due to the E appearing to conform more to that shown by North (1994) Vol.I pg.219 fig.12. The penny was cut in half from 5 o'clock to 11 o'clock on the obverse. Uncertain moneyer, potentially Salemun of Canterbury. The coin is bent to a degree that it is slightly convex on the obverse and concave on the reverse.
