An incomplete cast copper-alloy fragment of an uncertain artefact of unknown date.
The object is reminiscent of the foot of a bow brooch, with (if it is a footplate) faceted with five panels and a central horizontal transverse ridge. Above is what appears to be the beginning of an arched bow of sub-triangular cross-section. Each panel, where surface remains, including the probable bow, displays ring and dot decoration. Cast concave on the reverse, with both sides 'ragged' and display old breaks with the base being semi-cl…

A cast lead unidentified object, of unknown date, AD 43 - 1900. It is more spherical than hemispherical; domed with a flat reverse. One side is also flattened, perhaps as post depositional damage. An integral lead shaft projects from the centre of the circular flat face. The shaft has four longitudinal ridges and appears to be complete despite the short length. The lead has a smooth cream patina suggesting some age.

What appears a scrap piece of lead, contained within an incised cross, carved in the Cross Pattee style, probably of Medieval date. c. 1150-1400.
The depth, angle and shape of the incision is uniform, precise and even, suggesting this was possibly a test piece. This shape is reminiscent of a Cross Pattee style, with angled arms. The two horizontal arms are markedly longer than the vertical arm, which is shorter, but with the same widening of the arms towards their end points. The vertical lower part of the cross is longer and narrowe…

An incomplete cast copper-alloy object of uncertain function and date, probably a Medival dagger or knife pommel.. The base is a solid flattened sphere, the outer surface of which is more convex than the inner surface. Projecting from the centre of the inner surface is a circular-sectioned shaft (9.3mm diameter) that is broken at the end. Parallel to this on one edge is a rectangular-sectioned shaft (6.5mm wide, 2.8mm thick) that tapers slightly to an outwardly turned round terminal. Both shafts are integral. Two copper alloy fragments, almost certainly part of the same object, of uncertain date and function, although stylistically possibly early medieval in date (c. 500-1100AD).
The fragments appear to be from the same object, although they do not join. They comprise a narrow sub-circular bar terminating in a zoomorphic head, possibly a lion or mythological beast. The mouth of the animal forms a loop (broken in one example) that may have formed a suspension loop. Details on the heads have been picked out in incised grooves.
The object bears similarities to modern Makara b…

Unidentified copper-alloy object of unknown age. It is sub-circular, of fairly uniform thickness and slightly dished. It appears to be complete as there is no evidence of breaks. Close to one side there is a perfectly circular area, approximately one third of the total, which is flat. Beyond this it curves concavo-convexly in all directions all the way to the edge.
On the generally convex face, the flat circle is covered with multiple very fine concentric and perfectly circular grooves and ridges. The outermost ridge is wider and expanded at one point to form a wide and short triangle…

About half the ring survives with worn breaks at each end. One end has a sub-triangular cross-section with a slightly bevelled convex internal edge. At the other end the cross-section at the break is oval due to wear and damage. There is a casting seam running centrally around the internal surface of the ring. There is no surviving decoration. There is surface damage with pitting across most of the surface but a section of the dark green glossy patina remains on one side.

Object is a copper alloy possible implement or tool?. Its exact date is unknown but could date from the Roman Period to the Post Medieval. It has a square cross section, and one end of the tool has been bent and shaped to a point like a pick, the other end appears to be broken or be worn to the point of being unrecognisible. It has a green patina, but some copper colour is visible on some dents and scratches on the object.
