A complete tin-alloy (pewter) snuff box of Post Medieval to Modern date (c. AD 1800-1900).
The object is two parts; the lid and base. Both are rectangular in shape, with rounded edges. The lid is contained by a thick bordered edge and within the border is the sub-rectangular hinged lid. The upper edge consists of the hinges and the lower edge has a slight central lip for lifting open. Lead tobacco jar lid handle of Post-Medieval date (c.1650-1800) . Cast handle, roughly rounded when made, but having suffered from impacts around its edge, resulting in flattened off areas around its circumference. The body of the handle is broadly flat in section, on a waisted stalk with a basal expansion formerly engaged with a lid, now missing. The handle has a roughly circular ring incised around its outer upper edge, with a second raised ring within, which in-turn encompasses a raised conical section in the centre. A complete lead alloy decorative fixing or mount for a tobacco box lid, dating to the Post Medieval period c.AD 1600-1850.
The upper face of the mount is a moulded octofoil (or 8 petalled flower), the two petals, one either side are slightly longer than the others. There is a raised circular boss at the centre. On the reverse of the mount is a central integral circular lug.
The object is a mid grey in colour with an uneven patina. Abrasion caused by movement whilst within the plough soil may have resulted in the loss of some of the original surface detail.

A Post Medieval lead alloy knop from the lid of a tobacco jar dating to c. AD 1625-1800. The find is an oval octofoil with moulded petals around a central boss which has a lined border. This is mounted on a waisted stalk with rivet which fitted to the jar lid.

An incomplete cast lead alloy vessel lid or finial from a tobacco jar dating from the Post Medieval period, circa AD1600-1850. In plan, the top of the lid has an ovoid shape, with a damaged knop at its centre.. The lid has degraded edges. The reverse of the lid is plain and is concave in plan. At the centre of the reverse is an integrally cast shank. The shank is sub circular in section with the sides flaring out at the terminus. There is a ovoid degraded knop on the end of the shank. The object has an uneven grey / light brown patina.

A complete lead post-medieval tobacco jar lid. The outer face of the lid is octofoil in shape with a prominant central pellet surrounded by two concentric grooves and a circle of eight lobes. To the reverse is an integral rivet with a two disc-shaped lugs around it, the outer smaller in size. The surface of the metal is hevaily corroded and it is bent out of shape.
