A sub-circular cast copper alloy ring or loop, with a bi-trapezoidal section. The loop has a dark grey patina. The exterior edges has file marks remaining. The interior edges, on opposite edges have signs of wear. It measures 27.43mm diameter externally and 21.29mm internally. The thickness is 2.8mm. It weighs 3.22g. Similar rings are illustrated in Margeson’s, (1993) Norwich Households; Medieval and Post Medieval Finds from Norwich Survey Excavations 1971-78. East Anglian Archaeology Report No. 58. The loop has traces of a dark green/brown patina, with large patches of red copper corrosion, and is therefore in poor condition. The width of the frame varies but this is probably due to the casting rather than any wear. It measures 29.33mm diameter externally and 22.5mm internally. The thickness is 2.61mm. It weighs 2.65g. Medieval copper alloy suspension loop from a purse, 23mm long, 15mm wide with a weight of 6.07grams. The object has a green patina and a very pitted surface. It consists of the lower half of a loop, one arm survives forming a curve with a D shaped section, whilst the other is missing. The round groove on its base that would have joined it to a swivel fitting can just be made out.

Medieval copper alloy suspension loop, 37mm long and 17mm wide. The object has a green/red patina and worn edges. It consists of a plate which is shaped like two joined ovals. each of the ovals has a hole, 4.5mm in diameter, stamped into it. The object is very similar to fig 367 in Reads 'Metal Artefacts of Antiquity' which is described as a suspension loop.
