Incomplete Post Medieval cast copper alloy hooked strap fitting, probably a sword belt mount, c. AD 1600-1700. The plate is shield shaped, with a scalloped top side, concave vertical sides and rounded bottom corners. Decorating the upper surface of this plate is an unclear pattern, moulded in low relief and executed upside down. This may have been filled with enamel originally. Complete Post Medieval cast copper alloy S-shaped buckle, c.AD 1600-1800. A double sided, S-shaped buckle with a collar across the centre; one terminal is smaller than the other and would have attached to a metal belt-fitting, while the other end would have attached to a matching buckle. Each end is shaped as a snake's head, although the wear and corrosion obscures any finer details. One head has broken off during deposition, although it has been kept with the fitting.

An extremely corroded Iron Age - early Medieval copper alloy looped fitting, c.150 BC - AD 1000. The object comprises a ring with internal diameter of 7mm, from one side of which projects a stump of an arm, shank or other attachment. The opposite side of the ring is heavily worn on the inner surface suggesting a use under tension. Possibly part of a strap fitting such as bit link or strap link and of date. See SUR-9B2E32 for something similar.

A complete Post Medieval cast copper alloy strap fitting, c.AD 1700-1900. This item is 'S' shaped in plan with the head at one end of the S and the tail at the other. Unlike more modern examples, the snake is quite naturalistic and not presented in profile. The closed loop created at the head end was permanently attached to a belt or strap. The tail formed a hook that went through an eyelet and therefore did up the belt.

A complete Post Medieval copper-alloy toggle clasp (eye-section) of Read Type 1, from a sword-belt, c.AD 1600-1700.
