A complete copper-alloy strap fitting of possible middle Bronze Age to Iron Age date, c. 1600 - 100 BC.
The object comprises a pointed ovate body with a D-shaped section which tapers in thickness from one end to the other. The upper terminal is swollen with a wide, rounded upper end which is decorated with two parallel incised D-shaped borders. The front of the swollen portion of the body has a central lozenge shaped recess extending from the point at which the two borders meet on the upper edge to midway along the front of the body. A complete copper alloy strap distributor or toggle dating from the late bronze age to the Roman period, c. 1150 BC to AD 150. The strap distributor is sub rectangular in shape with a rectangular openwork centre. There are four spherical knops at the junction of each angle, with a bar in between each. The bar is oval in cross section. Either side and at the base of one of the spheres the metal has been very worn, suggesting that may have been attached or held something. A Later Bronze Age cast copper alloy tubular 'bugle-shaped' fitting with a hollow gently barrel-shaped body with a sharply-expanded terminal at one end. The other end of the body terminates in an old break. This body is 57.1mm in length, the diameter of the expanded terminals is 13mm.Protruding form one side of the body is a tubular side loop which is 36.5mm long, 6.8mm wide and 7.8mm thick. Cast bronze strap fitting probably of Late Bronze Age date, c. 12th to 7th century BC The decorative strap fitting is circular and resembles a button with a diameter of 20.37 -20.97mm and a weight of 4.5g. The rear of the fitting has a central integral loop with a length of 10.17mm, a maximum width of 7.52mm (minimum width 3.17mm) and a depth of 3.68mm (2.3mm internal). Small cast ring with loop, probably an inner piece from a composite strap fitting of Late Bronze Age date, and probably of Ewart Park (c. 950 - 750 BC) or Llyn Fawr (c. 750 - 500BC) metalworking tradition. The ring is D-shaped with an integral rectangular delicate loop on the straight side. The faces are flat and the external sides are rounded. The interior is faceted, with possible wear facets along the straight side.

Fragment of cast bronze bugle-shaped object (probably strap attachment/harness), one item within a hoard. Wide flanged, open ended hollow tube with loop. The loop has a hollow section at the break but this may be a large casting void in an otherwise solid loop. The item is crushed almost flat at the (ancient) break. Common small pale/medium green corrosive encrustations on the surface which is patinated medium/dark green/brown. This object is of Late Bronze Age Carps tongue/Ewart Park form as seen in the Watford hoard (Combs 1979).
