An incomplete early early-medieval (AD 520-600) copper-alloy gilt rectangular belt fitting or belt-plate, with probable Salin Style I decoration and an incomplete central setting of garnet or red glass. To the reverse are two stumps of integral rivets (2.5mm diameter), mid-way along the two short edges, and the corroded remains of an iron rivet mid-way along one long edge. A post-Medieval or Modern copper-alloy and gilded misshapen strap fitting (c. 1775-c. 1900). This object is an 'S'-shaped belt hook fastener. One side has a moulded design and the other side is flat. The fastener terminates with a dragon's head at each end. The eyes and mouth can be clearly seen. At the centre on the moulded side a band of pellets is flanked on either side by a plume of six 'feathers'. The head could be that of a snake or swan. Length: 26.0mm; width: 6.3mm; thickness: 2.4mm. Weight: 2.39g.

An incomplete copper-alloy Medieval strap fitting, dating to AD 1200-1450. It consists of a square frame, which has four integrally cast arms protruding from the four corners; the four arms have a waisted section where there are two lateral flanges. Each arm ends with a lozange shaped loop, which has three rounded knops on the outer edge of the external corners. An incomplete copper alloy strap fitting of post-medieval date. The fitting is lozenge-shaped in plan with a raised moulding of a cherub's face in the centre. Around the outer edges of the fitting is moulded scrolling designs. On the reverse are the remains of a square sectioned shank. The style of decoration is characteristic of the sixteenth and seventeenth centuries, and similar cherubs are often seen on gravestones of this period.

Copper alloy possible strap fitting. Cast sub-ovoid or shield-shaped plate with four rounded cells occupying its display face. These appear apt to have received enamel, though the greyish scraps of material now left do not suggest any particular tint. A thick integrally cast and angled stalk of diameter 4.6mm projects from the back; it is uncertain whether this was part of a loop. Three elements of a composite fitting remains: a complete hooked mount, half of a hooked mount and a loop from an attachment plate. The complete hooked mount is curvilinear tapering from a wide flared lower terminal to a curved, forward facing hook with knoped terminal. An incomplete Post Medieval copper alloy belt mount or fitting, dating from c.17th century AD. The mount is sub triangular shaped curving up to a central ridge, and has a knop projecting from the narrowed end. At the wider edge there is a cinquefoil projection with a narrowed neck, this has a raised collar. On the surface of the face of the mount is gilding. On the reverse there are two integral attachment prongs which are worn and broken. The mount has a light brown patina. It measures 22.7mm in length, 11.00mm in width, and weighs 1.49g. Similar mounts can be seen in Read 2001, page 35.

It consists of a central ring 11.1mm in diameter (internal 6.8mm diameter) and 2mm thick with two arms extending on opposing sides of the ring.
