An almost complete copper alloy dagger scabbard chape of Medieval to Post-Medieval date (AD 1350-1500). The chape is U-shaped in plan, with a rounded knop at its apex. This plate is also slightly damaged. The chape is sub-oval in plan with a rounded front and a dished reverse for the blade. A complete probable Early Medieval sword pyramid mount. Although the term 'pyramid' is generally applied to this form of object due to its shape normally being a square pyramid, this example is in the form of a cone. The object is plain and undecorated. It is hollow underneath and at the base there is an integral round sectioned bar running across the centre for attachment to the sword belt. The mount has a mid-green patina. The mount is 21.2 mm in diameter, 10.7 mm in height, and weighs 6.82 g. Similar examples are SWYOR-89C624, BUC-725DF3 and LIN-666425.

A late Medieval to early Post Medieval cast copper-alloy sword or dagger scabbard chape. The chape, cast in one piece, is 'V-shape' and hollowed, with raised edges and open at the back. The plate has a central ridge with rectangular and aperture and circular aperture above either side. The upper edge is scalloped. Between these is a sub-triangular projection. At the opposite end the terminal consists of a rounded knop.  The chape measures 49.1mm long, 20mm wide, 6mm thick an weighs 7.21 grams. For parallels on the PAS see IOW-DC61A8 and BH-757F02.

A flattened conical copper alloy sheet metal chape, probably from a scabbard and of post medieval date. The chape is 28.6mm long, with a rounded terminal.  The sides are covered with stamped or pressed decoration in relief depicting vine scrolls, flowers and leaves. The profile is slightly asymmetrical and curved suggesting that the scabbard was for a small dagger or knife with a curved single edged blade.
