A Late Medieval - Modern bone waste fragment from button making. The fragment is cut from a bovine long bone to form a flat plate using a saw (tool marks are visible on the reverse). There are two circular holes of 16mm diameter where discs have been cut to make buttons. MacGregor notes that fragments like this are found in Late Medieval to modern contexts (1985, 101).

Three fragments of late medieval - modern (c.1400-1900) bone button or bead making waste fragment. These are worked fragments from a long bone or rib, cut to form flat plates. The shorter fragment has one convex face, presumably from the outside surface of the bone. The largest fragment has a concave complete edge and is curving in shape. The left valve of an oyster shell with a central perforation. Description: The perforation has been made from the inside of the shell to the outside and is 14mm x 15mm with three staight sides and one outwardly-curved side. An unfinished bone or ivory cuboid die, probably of late Medieval or Post Medieval date. The number 6 is indicated by drilled dot marks on one of the sides; the other 5 sides are blank. The die is similar in style to PAS record PUBLIC-96A5C9, but cannot be assigned to one of Potter's variant, due to the missing number arrangements. Bone dice were also used in the Roman period however, so an earlier date cannot be ruled out. The die is irregular in shape and measures 8.5mm by 8.3mm by 8.1mm, and weighs 1.2g.

Fragment of antler manufacturing waste, including the crown and part of the tine of the antler. The antler has been sawn up and this part discarded after use. The interior has been hollowed but is not smooth and still contains a large amount of the inner spongy material suggesting it has not been hollowed out as a socket. The antler is a grey-cream in colour with some orange staining possibly from contact with iron material on the foreshore.
