A Post-Medieval copper-alloy Nuremberg jetton, dating to AD 1600-1700.
Description: The jetton is circular in plan and in a good condition. The token is a mid-green in colour.
Obverse: The bust of Mercury, facing right, within a fleur-de-lys and pellets border.
Reverse: An imperial orb within a trefoil tressure, bordered by rosettes.
Measurements: Diameter: 22 mm and Weight: 1.95 g.

A Late Medieval to Post Medieval copper alloy jetton struck in Tournai, circa 1497-1521. Obverse: four lis in a lozenge within a four-arched tressure, trefoils in the spandrels. Reverse: cross patty. Legends illegible, probably illiterate. As Mitchiner 726-729.
These jettons were struck mainly in Tournai during the reign of Louis XII (1497-1515) but also struck during the reign of Francis I (1515-1547) up to the year 1521 when Tournai was occupied by Charles V.

An English medieval copper alloy jetton dating to the reign of Edward III or Richard II and of Mernick Series 5a. The obverse has a lion rampant in an eleven arched tressure with an outer border of stalking trefoils with pellets between (Mernick Series 5a, Obverse 4). The reverse has a cross fleury with quatrefoil centre, within a quatrelobed tressure with floral sprays in the spandrels and trefoils on the inside of the cusps (Mernick Series 5a, Reverse 32). The centre has been pierced from the obverse side as an anti counterfeiting measure.
