A Post Medieval copper alloy wound-wire accessory, possibly a girdle (AD 16th century). The object has a loop at one end, with a section of twisted wire from which six separate coiled wire segments are suspended; each segment is connected to the other by an integral loop. At the end of the wire segments, there is an intricately constructed wire possible cage-like pendant, which is now compacted; this part of the object has been fashioned in the shape of a spider’s web. early Post Medieval copper alloy clavendier. The object is designed for hanging keys from and is sub rectangular in form. The upper half is corroded but seems to represent a female bust? the lower half is made up of five loops, two small ones down each side above one large loop which has snapped off.
