A medieval to post medieval copper alloy circular weight, dating to c.AD 1400 - 1649. One face has a Latin cross with a flower or fleur de lis in each quarter. Around the edge is a beaded circle or part of a milled edge. The reverse is badly worn, with what could be a crown motif. There are no legible inscriptions on either face. A complete and worn Medieval copper-alloy circular uniface coin-weight for the half ryal (rose noble), dating to the period c. 1464-c. 1600. The weight is uniface, sub-circular in plan and rectangular in cross-section. The obverse has the image of a ship (galleon) in sail with the King in the ship and a rose in the centre of the hull. This is a weight for a ryal. The weight is square and features a galley with rose on the obverse. The reverse is blank and undecorated. Similar examples can be see in Withers and Withers (1995:23). A Post Medieval Belgian, Antwerp issued copper-alloy square 3.3g coinweight for a half-ryal coin dating to c.1579-1603. Square and flat. One face depicts a stylised ship with a rose in the bottom centre and the letter R to top right. (Withers 2011 : 25) The reverse depicts the hand of Antwerp with the letters L / M either side (unknown makers initials) all within a wreath. A cast copper-alloy coin weight for a ryal issued AD 1464 - 1470 (judging from the mass), with the weight dating from the AD 1464 - 1600. The weight is a sub-circular disc shape, and is uniface. The face bears a wooden planked ship carrying a king. The details are not visible. There is an overall green patina to both sides of the piece. Compare examples on page 18 and 19 of Withers and Withers (1995) Lions, Ships and Angels. Measurements are; diameter 16.9mm, thickness 4.2mm and weight 6.95g.

A Post Medieval copper-alloy French square 3.2g coin-weight issued during the reign of Henry II of France, dating to c.1547-59. Sub-square and flat, chamfered on both sides forming an angled profile. The obverse is struck off-centre, bearing a cruciform of four 'crowned letter H's' with lis in the angles and a small cross in the centre. The reverse depicts the Roman numerals XX / II in two lines. Used to check the Henri d'or of four H's type. Probably struck at Lyons and should have weighed 3.5g. Sub-square 13mm x 11.6mm, thickness 3.1mm, weight 3.2g.

This is a coin weight that has both faces stamped with the standard weight for half guinea coins, minted from January 1, 1772 until the Great Recoinage of 1816. The obverse has an additional stamp of an ewer or coffee pot, which is the certification mark of the Founder's Company. Both faces are marked with "D . G" (standing for pence and grain) above "2 . 16", with a central crown.
