An incomplete cast copper-alloy and enamelled zoomorphic Roman plate brooch in the form of a horse and rider. (c. AD 100 – c. AD 410). Length 26.0mm, width 23.0mm and 1.9mm thick. Weight 4.08g. The horse, which is galloping to the right, is well defined and has a small head with pronounced ears projecting slightly forwards. The eye is in the form of a small annulet. An incomplete copper alloy La Tene III ‘Nauheim’ derivative brooch of 'Winchester' style (Hattatt 1985, 23). Overall length 43.2mm, maximum width of bow 9.8mm and thickness of bow 1.2mm. Weight 4.55g. The brooch was cast in one piece and then wrought. The pin, part of the spring and part of the catch-plate are missing due to old breaks. Roman copper alloy plain hinged bow brooch, 26mm long, 22mm wide and 7mm deep. The object is in fair condition with a brown patina and weighs 2.98grams. The brooch has circular sectioned solid wings which sit above the bow at an angle and form a central rectangualr void, presumambly where the hinge fitted. The bow is triangular in section and is slightly curved. There is no sign of decoration on the brooch and no catchplate or pin present.

Roman copper alloy disc brooch, 22mm in diameter and 2mm thick (6mm at catchplate). The object is in fair condition with a green/brown patina and weighs 3.64grams. The brooch is decorated with an outer raised border with a further inner border, 2mm in from the edge. This is filled with what is now red enamel. Early Medieval mount; Anglo-Saxon, cast copper alloy mount in the shape of a bird, possibly a cockerel. Flat mount with incised decoration on one face showing a bird, facing left, with hooked beak, small crest on the head, pointed wing extending up and backwards and thick curved tail. Roman copper alloy Polden Hill booch fragment. The crest of the head is quite rounded and the bow tapers to a point at the end, although no foot remains. The hinged pin, catchplate and pin mechanism are all missing. The brooch is quite corroded all over but it is quite likely that this brooch would have been plain anyway.

Late Iron Age to Roman copper alloy Colchester type bow brooch, 65mm long, 21mm wide and weighing 12.20 grams. The brooch is plain with short open wings containing a spring of seven coils. The curved bow is sub circular in section and tapers to a point and has a raised tapering area protruding from the spring and down the centre of the upper part of the bow. Traces of a catchplate 16mm long are just visible and the upper part of the pin survives.

Anglo-Saxon cruciform brooch fragment, cast copper alloy. The brooch has a square headplate split into three smaller rectangular zones. The central rectangular zone is the largest and sits slightly proud of the flaking zones, being decorated with a perimeter of punched crescents. Two integral side knops remain. Each knop has a moulded collar divided into three bands, and a flat circular knopped terminal. The rest of the brooch is missing at the top of the bow. There is an incomplete double pin lug on the reverse of the headplate.

Anglo-Saxon cruciform brooch, cast copper alloy. The lowest part of the bow is visible, which is faceted and has three recessed collars below. The terminal is in the form of an animal's head. There are two large moulded eyes to either side, a long broad forehead and two circular nostrils forming the snout. The animal head is D-shaped in cross-section. The remains of a catchplate is situated on the reverse of the collared area.
