A broken Anglo-Saxon copper-alloy cruciform brooch. The headplate is trapezoidal with plain trapezoidal wings on either side. Integrated half-round knops are present. These have a single-line collar at the base where they connect to the headplate. The bow is rectangular in section and the brooch is broken just below it. On the reverse of the headplate is a plate with a circular piercing where a pin would have been. A cast copper-alloy side knob from an Anglo-Saxon cruciform brooch. It is round in section with a semi-circular top. It has a single-line collar near to where it would have been joined to the headplate. It has been broken from the head plate. There is a ferrous accretion at the break and on the tip. It dates to the fifth or sixth century. Length is 9.5mm, diameter is 7.1mm. Weight 1.82g.

A copper alloy Roman bow brooch, Colchester derivative hinged type. It consists of most of the wings and upper bow only, the pin, axis bar and catchplate are missing. The wings are folded round to form a cylinder, on one side of the bow only, the other side is missing. There is moulding on the upper bow and incised lines running transversely around the wings. The bow is D-shaped. The brooch measures 31.75mm in surviving width across the wings, 25.14mm in surviving length, and weighs 6.46g.

A copper alloy Roman bow brooch fragment. It consists of the catch plate and base of the bow only, the rest is missing due to old breaks. The bow is plain and 2.7mm in width, with the triangular-shaped catchplate forming a frame for a large triangular perforation at its centre. There is a strong groove on the inside of the catchplate to accommodate the pin when the brooch was closed. It is likely to be part of a Colchester derivative type brooch. The fragment measures 16.12mm in surviving width, 26.19mm in surviving length, and weighs 2.08g.

The metalwork is worn and there is active corrosion product. The wing is cylindrical and the bow is rounded in section, the surfaces being too worn to ascertain the true dhape and thickness. The underside of the base is flat and appears to have no evidence of decoration or a transverse groove/slot. An Early Medieval copper alloy half-round knob from a brooch, most likely of cruciform type. It has a collar 4mm in width, at the base, a narrow waist also of 4mm, and a semi-circular head. Part of the collar is missing due to old breaks. There is a groove in the base of the collar into which the side of the brooch head plate would have fitted, and a perforation which would have held a pin for attachment to the body of the brooch.
