Description: An incomplete gold Medieval quatrefoil frame brooch, dating to AD 1300-1450. It is half of the original quatrefoil frame, which has a sub-rectangular cross section and a double stepped outer edge. On one end there is the broken constriction for the missing pin. The front face is decorated with four cast raised inward facing human heads; the heads are even-spaced and are placed on the inner cusps and on the most outer part of the curved frame. Description: A fragment of a gold early medieval (Anglo-Saxon) disc brooch or pendant. It is roughly triangular in shape with a curved outer edge and two straight sides where the fragment has broken from the rest of the object. The edge of the curved side is bent upwards towards the outer face and a strip of beaded gold wire is soldered just behind this. The fragment survives in good condition. Medieval gold annular brooch with animal head terminals, D-shaped in section. It is cast with four animal head terminals, two grip the loop for the pin and the other two grip the falttened section where the pin rests. Each head has two collets for eyes, the settings of which are present in the two gripping the pin loop but missing in the others. The pin is intact and seperately cast. It is triangular in shape and has a decorated ridge where the loop meets the shaft and tapers to a point. The reverse is flat and undecorated. A gold annular brooch dating to the Medieval period. The frame is circular in plan and 'D' shaped in section (flat back, curving front) with two opposed oval collets which taper towards the top, both now empty but once would have contained a cabochon stone. The pin is 'D' shaped in section (flat back, curved front) and is looped around a narrowing in the frame. A flanged transverse ridge is present on the upper face at either side of the narrowing for the pin.
