A lead seal of the Russian hemp or flax trade. The seal carries the name of the Quality Control Officer responsible for grading the bundle of hemp or flax and this name is encountered on only one other seal (from Fife, and which is at present somewhere in the accessioning process in Kirkcaldy Museum). A copper alloy furniture fitting which is post-medieval in date. The object is a drop handle consisting of a sub-rectangular curved plate with a loop at one end and dividing into a fork at the other. It is 40mm long, 23.5mm wide and 4mm thick. The loop is sub-rectangular. The end bar is slightly wider then the loop itself. The loop is attached to the handle by a narrow neck. Cast copper alloy two piece buckle of later post-medieval date (1660 - 1720). The frame of the buckle is sub-rectangular in plan (rectangular with rounded corners), and bowed in profile. The frame has been drilled to allow for a central iron axis bar through which the pin and strap-end would be fixed. The iron axis bar is missing has been lost – presumably through corrosion as large amounts of concreted orange (iron) corrosion is present on the frame close to the drilled holes. It is 8.5mm wide when it is a single strip, when it splits into three it widens to 23mm. The central strip follows the line of the ring, the two exterior strips are at 45degrees to this. An incomplete cast copper alloy double looped trapezoidal shoe or knee buckle with a drilled frame for a separate spindle, dating to the Post Medieval period, between AD 1650 – 1750 (length: 48mm; width: 26.5mm; thickness: 5mm; weight: 14.2g). A cast copper alloy pipe tamper of post-medieval date. The pipe taper is in the form of an sleeved arm and hand holding a hammer, poised ready for use. It measures 56.3mm by 31.9mm by 7.6mm and weighs 15.7g. Hammers and arms/hands (often with clenched fist or holding scrolls) are quite common forms for pipe tampers, but this example is unusual in that it combines both.

An incomplete cast copper rowel spur of probable seventeenth century date. The end of one arm and the rowel are missing and in its current state the spur measures 120.6mm by 67.3mm by 12.7mm and weighs 71.4g. The surviving terminal is in the form of a figure-eight, with one corrosion filled loop in line with the arm and the second set perpendicular. Copper alloy leg of a post-medieval skillet or pipkin, a cauldron type vessel with 3 legs. The object is anthropomorphic in style, representing a human leg and foot. The leg is triangular in section. Above the foot is a protruding lip, the foot is then flat on the floor. A leg of the same style was found in York and dates to the late 15th- early 16th centuries (Ottaway and Rogers; 2002; 2809-10) but similar styles continued until around the 18th century.
