An incomplete post-medieval strap-fitting from a 16th-century sword belt seemingly repaired at the broken hook end through the later attachment of a spur hook attachment (c. 17th-18th century).  The plate has a flared, double-concave attachment end. It features a vertical median groove running down the front and two rivet holes containing the corroded remains of iron rivets, one at the attachment end, the other towards the hook end (now broken). An incomplete Post Medieval copper alloy sword belt fitting, c.AD 1500-1700. This fitting consists of a cast plate and integral hook. The plate is flat with moulded foliate or vine scroll decoration. It has a trefoil terminal with two rivet holes, which have traces of rusted iron rivets. It has a trefoil terminal and a tapering body that ends in lobed terminal with a round hook, which terminates in an old, worn break.

A solid copper alloy strap fitting, probably a strap slide or toggle of Roman date, AD 43 - 410. It is circular with a convex or domed front surrounded by a groove and then a raised rim. There is a narrow groove around the side, towards the back. The back is flat with an integral sub-rectangular tab projecting, perforated by an oval hole. A complete, post-medieval copper alloy snake shaped strap-fitting of post-medieval date (c.AD1550-1850). The strap fitting is S-shaped in plan and sub-oval in cross section being wider than it is thick. A complete copper-alloy strap end of post medieval date (c.AD 1650-1750). The frame of the object is multifoil, consisting of 12 rounded lobes and it has a recessed cylindrical bar on the obverse. This style of decoration was popular in the post-medieval period, particularly on buckles as shown in Whitehead’s Buckles (2003) no. 282. There is a circular hole, c.7mm at its widest point, through the centre of the oval section. Copper alloy unidentified object fragment, possibly part of a strap fitting. A cast bar, now part-melted, to which are attached the expanded ends of a small integrally cast spool-shaped object of length 14.2mm with expanded round ends with a space 9.4mm wide between bar and spool. A function entailing the constraint of a light strap might explain this form. The melting of the object is unlikely to have come about accidentally.
