A complete Iron Age copper alloy brooch of the La Tene I type dating to the 4th - 3rd century B.C. ' Wessex' Type, Hull's Type 1A. An incomplete early medieval gilded silver openwork S-shaped brooch, now missing the pin mechanism on the reverse. The brooch is flat in cross-section and asymmetrical both in shape (roughly egg-shaped) and decoration. The 'S' is created by the sinuous body of a creature with a head at both ends.

Description: A base silver copy of an early-medieval Islamic dirham, modified into a brooch with the addition of silver-washing and lug attachments for a (now missing) pin; only a trace of the attachments can now be seen.

A complete cast copper alloy Roman disc brooch with some remaining gilding, c.AD 200-350.
The front of the brooch is comprised of four concentric circular ridges starting at the edge of the brooch and going into a small circular ridge in the centre. Between the second and third of the raised ridges there remains a small portion of gilded ribbon decoration. On the reverse of the brooch the catchplate and pin remain intact, although the pin is slightly bent.

An incomplete Roman copper alloy Langton Down type brooch, c. AD 25-60, with cylindrical wings which retain a copper alloy spring. The front and upper portion of the ends of the wings has incised decoration which appears to frame and imitate the spring. The bow is flat and decorated with moulded parallel ridges and has traces of tinning. There is a moulded collar at the shoulder junction between the bow and the wings. A fragment from a cast copper-alloy late Iron Age/Roman brooch of the Langton Down type. The fragment consists of the abraded head and upper bow.
