An incomplete cast copper-alloy bow brooch of Colchester derivative double-lugged type, dating c. 43-100 AD. It demonstrates a hemi-sphericaly sectioned winged head, from the midpoint of which is a rearward-facing double lug (now broken open in old damage, with the chord and spring/pin mechanism missing). The wings themselves (one bent outwards in old damage) are decorated at their terminals and inner edges with a single collar and two co-cindent grooves, though these are now relatively worn. An incomplete cast copper-alloy fragment originating from a brooch of Late Iron Age or early Roman date (c. 25-100 AD), probably a Colchester or Colchester Derivative type. It consists the very bottom of the bow, foot and catchplate. The catchplate itself is triangular in plan, with a rolled back edge to accomodate the pin. Preserved in fair condition with an even green patina, it survives to a length of 17.78mm, 7.88mm thick where the catchplate projects, and weighs 1.12g. Due to the fragmentary nature of this object, it is impossibly to type accurately.

An incomplete cast copper-alloy Langton Down (Mackreth C1) bow brooch of Late Iron Age or early Roman date, c. 25-60 AD. It is missing its foot, catchplate, spring and pin, though otherwise it survives intact. It demonstrates a broken tubular head with a raised moulding dividing it from the 'D' sectioned plain bow, which extends and tapers along its length before truncating in an irregular old break. An incomplete and very worn and corroded copper-alloy Roman Colchester bow brooch. It is missing most of the spring, pin and catchplate due to old breaks, and has suffered from extensive post-depositional wear and corrosion. The brooch has flat rectangular wings, separated at the centre of the head by an integral spring and hook, both of which are incomplete due to old breaks. The bow is oval in section and rectangular in form, tapering to a pointed foot. The entire brooch measures 47.1mm in length, 11.5mm in width at wings, 5.5mm in width at bow, 3 and 5.61g in weight.

A complete cast copper-alloy La Tene I brooch of Adams type 1b, dating to the Early Iron Age, c. 450-300 BC. The brooch survives completely intact, though its pin and part of the spring is somewhat distorted in old damage. It demonstrates a four-coiled spring, the outer coils arching in a semicircle above the head before plunging to form the pin. Late Iron Age to early Roman copper-alloy Colchester brooch of Mackreth’s (2011) type 2.a or 2.b (the standard British type with a catchplate pierced by fretwork or square holes). It is largely complete except for the catchplate, which survives only as a series of stubs between incomplete openwork voids, and the shaft of the pin, approximately a third of which is missing from the tip.

A complete Iron Age to Roman copper-alloy Colchester brooch dating to circa AD 25-60. The head consists of short, narrow wings, rectangular in section. Emerging from the top is the forward facing hook, now flattened and resting on the bow. Half of the spring mechanism survives, consisting of four coils. The bow is plano-convex in section and tapers into a pointed foot.

An incomplete Middle Iron Age copper-alloy probable La Tene 1b brooch dating to circa 400-300 BC. The extant piece consists of the bow and foot. The head is pissing but would have been formed of coils. The bow is plano-convex and has a mid-low arch. The foot is reverted and zoomorphic with a rounded head and snout tapering into a point. It has a dark green patina and is heavily abraded.
The brooch is consistent with Adams' La Tene 1b form dating to the 4th century BC (2015).

Only the bow re mains. The bow has a sub-circular cross section and both terminals end at a worn rounded break. The top of the bow is triangular in shape and opens out to two decorative central disks, which wraps round the back of the brooch. An incomplete copper alloy Iron Age to early medieval Type C penannular brooch. The hoop is circular in cross-section. The terminals have been flattened and then rolled into single coils. The pin is composed of a section of circular cross-sectioned wire, its head looped around the hoop with a pointed tip and a shallow hump in its centre. The surface of the metal is slightly corroded, but it survives in generally good condtion with a bright green patina.

Its front face is decorated with a central spine, either side which are incised chevrons which run the length of the frame. The frame has two opposed scrolled terminals which turn in on themselves. Copper-alloy annular brooch, circular and 35 mm in diameter. The frame is rectangular in cross-section, 6.5 mm wide and 2 mm thick, with a very narrow (2 mm wide) pin constriction.
