An incomplete copper-alloy Roman brooch dating 43-120AD. It is very corroded making distinct typing difficult. It would have had a spring cord, now missing, along with part of the wings, pin and catch plate. An incomplete copper-alloy Colchester derivative hinged Roman brooch dating to 43-120AD. Missing spring, pin, part of the bow and catchplate. Upper bow only survives, the wings are folded round to form a cylindrical case around the iron axis bar on which the pin is hinged in the centre. An incomplete copper-alloy Colchester derivative Roman brooch dating to 43-120AD. Missing spring, pin and catchplate. A lug at the back of the wings has two holes, the upper one carries a fragment of the copper-alloy spring cord and the lower one a copper-alloy axis bar, the spring has 8 coils. Wings are semi-cylindrical and undecorated. The bow has a D-shaped section and a central rib which and is decorated by incised longitudinal grooves. Length:25.18mm Width: 22.83mm Weight: 5.70g

An incompletecopper-alloy disc brooch of Early-Medieval/Anglo-Saxon date. It is missing its pin and parts of the outer edge of the plate. The plate is disc shaped in form with decoration on its front face. This comprises a central circular hole surrounded by three concentric circles, three punched dot and circles, a further pair of concentric circles towards the outer edge of the plate. A fragment of a copper-alloy late Iron Age brooch of a possible Kragenfibel rosette type (Mackreth, 2011, pg 28). It is very corroded, making typogology difficult. The wing shape suggests a coil spring, although missing, and the bow seems to have a seperate plate, which is mostly corroded away. It is decorated with longnitudinal lines. The reverse is flat, with a small D shaped bow. It appears similar to examples in Mackreth, 2011, pg 19, plate 16, 5799, 5807, 13755 Length: 28.86mm Width: 18.57mm Weight: 5.80g

T-shaped in plan, the wings are cylindrical in form folded to encase the separately cast copperr-alloy axis bar, with a central rectangular slot through which the now missing pin would have hinged. An incomplete bow and fantail brooch; with a hinged pin about AD 85-140. It can be classified as Mackreth TR 4.1b2. The brooch is broken in two, across the top of the central rectangle. An incomplete copper alloy Roman zoomorphic plate brooch. The brooch is moulded in the form of a water fowl with closed wings. The impression of wings is created by two paralell incised grooves running running the length of the centre of the bird's back.  The tail is squared and pierced with a small, off-centre, circular hole. A complete Roman copper-alloy plate brooch dating to circa AD 200-350, missing only the pin. It is oval in plan. In the centre is a recessed oval cell surrounded by a projecting rectangular-sectioned oval border. The cell would have been inlaid with a conical glass or stone setting which is now missing.
