A broken copper-alloy brooch or badge with heraldic design, probably a livery badge worn by a servant in a gentry household in the 19th century. The badge consists of a crescent, with a recessed area in its broader part, with an arrow crossing through it at a slight angle, the arrow passes under one part and over another. Both the crescent and the arrow have traces of gilding on them. The crescent measures c21mm in diameter and the arrow c30mm in length.
